FILMMAKING Improving Indie Scripts
Another one of my rantings has posted to film.com. This one is about how screenplay readings are good for the whole film community. The more feedback that occurs before the script goes into production the better! That's pretty much what I say HERE.
Moved to Seattle in 1991 to help start the alternative weekly newspaper THE STRANGER, where he worked as the Film Editor and lead film critic for nine years.
In 2000, he started freelancing, and was soon working in the Seattle film community writing, producing or directing short films, and sometimes all at once. He has also become a well-respected Script Supervisor on feature films, having worked on the Sundance 2005 critical hit POLICE BEAT and the Toronto and NYFF hit THE BRAND UPON THE BRAIN! by crazy Canadian filmmaker Guy Maddin, among other films.
Do you have a different opinion of the film/event/post? Did I get my facts wrong? BY ALL MEANS LEAVE A COMMENT. If you don't want to use your real name, try and come up with a more interesting pseudonym than "Anonymous," and if you would rather contact me directly, do so at andyspletzer@gmail.com.
